sUmMeR LovE

Well today was interesting, I finally met the man of my dreams......no small fry with this guy.... soft spoken, rock hard body, tall dark and round....just the way I like them. Emili didn't want to have her picture taken with him, but I was VERY ready to have my picture taken with this spud...ops i mean my new stud... Check out pic below. Oh ya eat your heart out...

Not the most flattering pic of me and my new spud...opps there I go again.. I mean stud, but it was fun. Today was the opening of "The Adventures of Mr. Potato Head" at the Betty Brinns Children Museum in Milwaukee and Emili wanted to be there for the grand opening. Emili has been doing a lot of fun things this summer and trust me it is very hard for me to compete with her other "twin mother"...

Last Saturday Megan took Emili to Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells all day and they had a great time, so today I decieded to do something fun with her. We went to the Betty Brinn's Childrens Museum in Milwaukee and then proceded to go get beautifed, by getting our hair done, cut and styled and pedicures. It was nice to spend some time away from the regular routine and have some fun, just us two. Here are some pictures of Emili living it up at the Children's museum.

MoRe ThAn A MoNth~

Well, it has been more than a month since my last post. We have been busy. Summer is in full swing and Emili is taking advantage of it. The Lomira Pool has become our hangout and Emili is enjoying summer to its fullest. I am starting to feel better now and am now into my second trimester of pregnancy, which is going very well. At least I am not puking 30 times a day now. It has been a busy month full of graduations, sickness and lots of running around.

My sister Megan, graduated from the University of Phoenix with her MBA, which is a HUGE accomplishment. We were there for her big day cheering her on and ever so proud. We had lots of fun and I hope Emili can follow in her footsteps someday. What a role model. Here is a picture of the graduate. My cousin Ghen also graduated High School and we attended that party as well. Way to go Ghen!

Emili J. Cruz was the first prize winner of a 100$ gift card to Barnes and Noble because she won first prize at a "Safety" contest for the company that I work for, Quad Graphics. She was 1st prize in about 200 contest entries and was given quite the publicity regarding her great accomplishment. She was not only awarded 100$, but also had her winning poster displayed on the Quad Graphics web page (for thousands of people to see all over the world) and made front page of the Quad News. Her poster was also displayed at the reception/waiting room of the Quad Graphics building here in Lomira, WI. Emili started summer school and was having fun meeting new kids. She also was having a lot of fun crafting and hanging out and doing fun things at her daycare. Auntie and her have hanging out at the Lomira Pool pretty much every chance they get. They have had a lot of Auntie/Niece bonging this summer and lots and lots of silliness.... Emili went up north to her Grandparents cabin for a weekend in Goodman, WI and had a blast. If you want to know if Emili is enjoying summer, you should just take a look at her legs. She has the battle scars to prove it. Last week Emili came down with the chicken pox and has been quarantined ever since. She has not been allowed to come in contact with other kids because she was contagious. She was down for the count for a couple of days with a fever and the pox, but after a couple of calamine lotions dosings and oatmeal baths...she is raring to go. She had to get the pox over the 4th of July, but we still ended up having fun. We saw the fireworks and had a campfire and ate smores at Grandma and Grandpa's in Mayville. Still lots of summer to be had for Emi J. Cruz and she is more than ready to take it on!

I have been busy working and trying to survive the 1st trimester of my pregnancy. I have had 2 ultrasounds and the baby looks healthy. I am now into my second trimester and my due date is 1/3/2009. So looks like Christmas and New Years will be very eventful this year. Everything looks good and I am starting to feel better, I had lost 5 lbs because I was sick about 30 times a day. That was really taking it out of me, but have been able to enjoy summer anyways. I spent a weekend at my grandparents overnight, which was really nice for me since I hadn't seen them in a while and really missed them. Its been a nice summer so far and I am very grateful to everyone who has had to put up with me throughout the first trimester (that means you Megan and Mom).. So I hope you keep reading the blog and like I said last time... I will try to update with more frequency. Hasta la proxima!
